What a great day we had at the softball tournament in Renfrew on June 24th. Our D team was amazing!! They won two of the three games they played and that was without three of our teammates who were given to Arnprior.
We are so proud of our guys who joined the Arnprior team who would not have been able to play without their help. You can see Fred and Todd and a tiny bit of Sandi in the team photo!
Check out some of the action shots your manager took of you all!!

Brockville and Area Special Olympic athletes, Neal Condron, Erika Fairbanks and Bree Christie are pictured with Staples Jacobb Beames and Roy Brooks at the Brockville Staples Store on Saturday May 27th.
The Staples in-store fundraiser, Give a Toonie Share a Dream, took place May 6 to 28 at all Staples stores across Canada, and helps support more than 42,000 individuals with an intellectual disability who participate in Special Olympics sport programs across more than 450 communities.
"Our relationship with Special Olympics is one of the longest partnerships in the history of our company," said Mary Sagat, President of Staples Canada. "The program creates a sense of pride and community spirit within our company and with our customers and vendors as well. We know the value of teamwork, team spirit and physical activity and are delighted to see so many Canadians participate in Special Olympics and sport."

Our roving photographer, Bill Ewing, was at the Country Club on Thursday, May 25th to see Neal Condron taking part in the golf competition. We're all proud of you, Neal!

The Future Links competition is a partnership program between Special Olympics Canada and Golf Canada. It is the 2nd year for the event, which features competitions in BC as well as Ontario.  The Special Olympics portion of the event will run Thursday morning, which is arrival day for the Future Link participants, so our golfers will truly feel like part of the event. Golf Canada is also aspiring to have some National Team members included in the SO portion of the event, which would be very exciting!
